Dashwood School's Parent-Teacher Association

We raise funds and organise activities that support Dashwood School and its pupils.

Last year we raised £2500 by running events including bag-packing at Tesco,

and held events including discos, raffles and a Summer Farewell Party.

Can you help us this year?

You can make a difference to Dashwood School.

We are looking for volunteers to help with this year's exciting programme.

Carol Singing

Many thanks to all who came carol singing at Tesco. We raised £126.67 in just over an hour - congratulations!

Cake stall

The cake stall raised over £80, an amazing result. Thank you to all who brought cakes along and bought cakes to take home.

The Day the Queen Came To Town

The whole school went to wave flags in the centre of Banbury for the visit of the Queen on 27th November 2008.

Fancy Dress

Thank you to everyone who came to the party, and all those who helped to make it such a fun night. We had a fancy dress parade, loads of games involving pumpkins and toilet rolls, home-made cakes, dancing and even goody bags to take home.

Summer Farewell Party

Thanks to everyone who came - here are some of the things people said afterwards:

'I would just like to say thanks to you and your colleagues for organising such a wonderful `Farewell Reunion` on Friday 11th July 2008. It was wonderful to be back at the school on this occasion and to meet people I hadn`t seen for 50 years. I do hope that perhaps this isn`t the end of reunions for Dashwood Pupils and we can perhaps find a reason to organise another at some time.' - Janice Dicker

'Please pass my congratulations to everyone involved in organising the reunion at Dashwood Road. It was a great evening and I met friends that i havent seen since 1969 when i left secondary school. You all did a great job. Hope the new school gives the children as good a start as the old one did for me. Thanks again.' - Tony Page

'Hi Rebecca - just to say a big Thanks to all who organised the Farewell Party last night. I didn't expect there to be so many there and was amazed to meet up with people I hadn't seen for 30-40yrs! Although its sad that the old school has to close its doors it was a happy occasion which everyone seemed to be enjoying so much. Anyway, good luck to the new building and all that pass through and I hope that in another 100yrs there will be a celebration of memories just as we enjoyed last night.' - Julie McGill
